Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Saturday said that National Accountability Bureau (NAB) is interrogating PPP leader Dr Asim Hussain and his fate will be decided as per law. Talking to media in Wah Cantt, he said that the Interior Ministry has received Rangers' investigation report and now the NAB has launched probe into the matter.
Nisar's statement comes three days after Karachi police registered a case against Dr Asim, a close aide of former president and PPP co-chairperson Asif Ali Zardari, under Anti-Terrorism Act of 1999. The Interior Ministry has also put his name on the Exit Control List (ECL). The former petroleum minister was arrested by Sindh Rangers from the office of Higher Education Commission in Clifton on August 26, 2015 on charges corruption and his role in terror financing.
