Spot basis bids for hard red winter wheat held steady at interior flour mills and elevators across the southern Plains on Wednesday, grain dealers said. Dealers said wheat movement was slow, as farmers were focused on harvesting their soyabean crop. Storms crossing the US Plains, the southern Midwest and the Mississippi River Delta are bringing beneficial moisture to winter wheat crops, but floods threaten a few areas. K.C. HRW wheat futures for December delivery were down 6-3/4 cents at $4.56-3/4 per bushel.
