Acting Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Maqbul Ahmed on Wednesday expressed deep shock and condolence as over 300 people have been killed and more than 2,000 people injured due to a massive earthquake. "I hope that the victim countries would be able to overcome these immense losses shortly. I am praying for the salvation of the deceased and extending deep sympathy and condolence to their families and also praying for the quickest recovery of the wounded people," he said.
Bangladesh also experienced a light tremor on that day. In this backdrop, the government of Bangladesh should take some measures in advance to create mass awareness in this regard.
