Muharram moon has been sighted and the Islamic year will start on Thursday (October 15). The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee met at Meteorological Complex, Karachi on Wednesday and Chairman Mufti Munib-ur-Rehman presided over the meeting. Meantime, Sindh government announced public holiday on the first of Muharram to commemorate the martyrdom of Hazrat Umar Farooq (RA).
