Armed men gunned down a sub-inspector of police here on Monday and fled the scene. Police said that armed sitting in a hiding ambush sub-inspector Ishtiaq Awan by opening indiscriminate fire at him as he came out of his home located in Mumtaz Colony of Hyderabad leaving him critically injured and fled the scene. The injured cop was rushed to a hospital where he succumbed to his wounds during the treatment. Police said that the shooting incident was outcome of personal enmity and a case has been registered against the murderers and investigation was in progress.
