Kissan Board Pakistan (KBP) has announced to stage a sit-in at Faisal Chowk on Saturday to press the government for increasing the support price of cotton, sugarcane, rice, corn, potato and other agricultural commodities. KBP is also demanding to reduce the prices of agricultural inputs, electricity, pesticides and others.
Sit-in demonstration will be led by Kisan Raj Movement Chairman Arsalan Khan Khakwani while KBP President Sadiq Khan Khakwani and Secretary General Malik Muhammad Ramzan Rohari will also attend it. KBP Spokesman Haji Muhammad Ramzan said if the demands of the growers were not accepted at that demonstration then the Board would arrange a long march towards Islamabad from Sadiqabad on October 15.
