Corn and soyabean spot basis bids held mostly steady across the US Midwest on Thursday as farmers delayed sales as futures prices for the crops fell ahead of the autumn harvest, grain merchants said. Soya bids stabilizing after falling sharply earlier this week. Many processors and exporters have already bought enough to last until harvest, which is expected to begin in the next few weeks.
