Sindh Technical & Vocational Training Authority recently signed a contract with British Council Pakistan for the development of a feasibility report on Sector Skills Councils - Hospitality Sector. Present on the occasion were Country Director British Council Pakistan Peter Upton, S. M. Makki MD Sindh TEVTA, Robin Davies Director Sindh & Balochistan British Council, Project Director STEVTA Syed Nazar Ali, Uzma Shaikh, Sheikh Hammad Amjad, Arsalan Rabbani and Laila Jamil.
STEVTA is implementing a World Bank funded Sindh Skills Development Project which aims to strengthen and improve the quality of public sector skills development programmes in the province and to bring institutional reforms. To meet these objectives and to align training programmes as per emergent and future needs, STEVTA intends to establish Sector Skills Councils in Sindh. The British Council will be responsible for implementing the project in Sindh and provide technical expertise.-PR
