Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan has said that his party will pave the way for development of Sindh province by introducing new faces in the upcoming local bodies (LB) elections. Talking to media persons here on Thursday, Imran Khan said that people of Sindh needed and wanted change and his party would award tickets on merit for LB polls.
He said corruption poses the greatest threat to development of Sindh as palaces have been built in Dubai through corruption money. Imran demanded that elections be held under 'neutral umpire'. He said that Rangers should arrest corrupt individuals in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) if anyone thinks the provincial government is sparing/protecting corrupt elements.
To a question, the PTI chairman said that anyone who would vote against the PTI would be expelled from the party. To another query, he said that chief election commissioner Sardar Raza Khan had assured him that the Election Commission would address the PTI's concerns.
