Masoor prices were lower on the local grain market on Thursday ahead of Independence Day holiday, dealers said. On the cereals side, Masoor Canada shed Rs 200 to Rs 8800-9000, Masoor Dal Canada low type was lower by Rs 500 to Rs 10800 and good type was down by Rs 400 to Rs 11000, Urad Burma shed Rs 250 to Rs 13500, they said. On the grams side, Bajra low quality was higher by Rs 260 to Rs 3250 and inferior quality, however, lost Rs 200 to Rs 4300, other items maintained overnight levels, they said.
On the seeds side, cottonseeds oilcake with bag Sindh old quoted at Rs 1650 and cottonseeds oilcake with bag Sindh new registered at Rs 1700 and Rs 1750, they said. Prices were unchanged on the rice sector, they said.
