The Met office on Tuesday forecast hot and humid weather for the most parts of the country in the next 24 hours. However, it said that rain-thundershower was likely at isolated places in Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sahiwal, Peshawar, Mardan, Malakand and Hazara divisions, besides, Islamabad, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.
Rain-thundershower hit scattered places in Hazara, Malakand and Kashmir while at isolated places in Kohat, Bahawalpur and Lahore divisions, Islamabad and Gilgit-Baltistan. Maximum rainfall 71 mm was recorded in Balakot 71, Dir 35 mm, Garhi Duppata 14 mm, Kakul 13 mm and Kohat 12 mm in the last 24 hours. "Seasonal low lies over north-west Balochistan and its adjoining areas. Under the influence of this low pressure, weak monsoon currents are penetrating into north-eastern parts of the country," the office said. Karachi is expected to remain cloudy with maximum temperature of 34 degrees Celsius and 75 percent humidity. Light rain/drizzle is expected along the coastal parts in the next 24 hours.
