On Tuesday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange (PMEX), value traded was PKR 5,157 million as compared to PKR 3,741 million reported on Monday, an increase of 38 percent. The number of lots traded also increased by 135 percent to 26.46 million from 11.25 million. PMEX Commodity Index increased by 0.06 percent and closed at 2,571. Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 3,555 million. This was followed by crude oil (PKR 1,572 million), silver (PKR 24.88 million) and cotton (PKR 3.91 million).
