Meeting of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will be held today (Friday) at a local hotel of the capital for sighting (Eid-ul Fitr) Shawwal moon while the zonal committees will hold meetings at their respective locations. Chairman of the Committee Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman will preside over the meeting.
Meteorological and other concerned departments will provide technical assistance to the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee. According to Pakistan Meteorological Department, there is high chance for sighting of Shawwal crescent on Friday. In that case, Eid-ul-Fitr will fall on Saturday.
