To develop tourism across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, the tourism corporation has finalised the lease of 15 guest houses situated in Galyat. This was stated by the Managing Director Tourism Corporation Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mushtaq Ahmed Khan while talking to media here on Wednesday. All 15 rest houses those were handed over to the KP Tourism Corporation were previously run by Civil and Works Department (CWD) and Environment Department of KP.
"To facilitate tourists in Galyat and other areas, the Tourism Corporation has decided to lease 15 rest houses for one year to the public sector," he said. He however explained that existing staff will also work and will be trained for Hotel Management and Hospitality courses. Earlier, Mushtaq Ahmed Khan disclosed that all these rest houses were used by the government employees and departments and tourists were unable to get the advantage of these facilities. Director Administration and Properties KPK TC said that after detailed deliberations with all stockholders we have decided to open these rest houses for tourists through leasing.
He further said that tourists would have the opportunity to reserve the rest houses for maximum period of seven days to provide this facility to the maximum people. The KPK Tourism Corporation would establish information centers at Abbottabad, Islamabad, Peshawar and Donga Gali he, added.
