Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Pervaiz Rashid on Saturday said everybody knows that Kashmir is the real and major conflict between India and Pakistan, claiming that former military dictator Pervez Musharraf harmed the Kashmir cause the most. Talking to the media, Rashid said that peace is necessary for a strong Pakistan, adding that the 'political party of Aabpara' has collapsed. He said Kashmir cause would have achieved its goals and Pakistan would not be facing energy crisis and terrorism today had Musharraf not overturned a democratic government.
"Where is Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) formed by Musharraf today?" he asked, adding that the 'political party of Aabpara' has collapsed. The federal minister said that the government will make Pakistan peaceful and strong, adding that a stronger Pakistan can play a vital role for Kashmir cause.
He said the operation in Sindh against militants was started after a unanimous agreement, adding that the government of Sindh is cooperating in the operation in Karachi. "There is no difference between the Centre and Sindh government over the powers of Rangers. The paramilitary force has made Karachi peaceful with hectic efforts," the minister said. He said that all the political parties are working together for restoration of peace in Karachi. He said the PML-N government has eliminated terrorism from the country and got achievements in Karachi operation.
Pervaiz Rashid said former president and Pakistan People's Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari is a Pakistani and has a right to return and live in Pakistan. Meanwhile, talking to government TV channel, the information minister said that Pakistani and Indian Prime Ministers have discussed all disputed maters in their meeting in Russia. He said that India has contacted the United Nations to isolate Pakistan. However, other countries including China did not support Indian stance in this regard.
The Minister described the meeting process as a good omen for resumption of talks in the region. He said that Indian Prime Minister has been invited to attend the SAARC Summit to seek solution to various issues in the region. Pervez Rashid described Sir Creek, Kashmir and Siachen as disputed matters.
