Speaker National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq on Saturday hinted the likelihood of bringing a reference against Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) after expressing dissatisfaction at his performance. Talking to media at an Iftar event, Ayaz Sadiq said that an investigating committee of National Assembly can also be formed, adding that no one should have any misunderstandings about the authority of the parliament.
He said questions have arisen on what the NAB is doing and who will hold it accountable. He said NAB has been sent cases of corruption worth billions of rupees but it is silent. Criticizing Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Speaker said that PTI has same people in it who were also in Musharraf's cabinet and have references against them in the NAB. He said he is surprised at NAB's performance as to why it is acting with prejudice.
