The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has initiated an action against the land mafia in Punjab like it had initiated in Sindh earlier. LDA has handed over the record of seven big housing schemes to the NAB as it demanded. The owners of these housing schemes are said to be influential political figures. A Director who joined the LDA on deputation has applied for leave to seek medical treatment abroad after NAB called for the records.
A list of Housing schemes in Lahore as well as Sheikhupura, Qasur and Nankana Sahib is also being prepared and town planners in these districts have also started getting themselves transferred.
