The Met Office on Monday forecast a hot and humid weather for Karachi with maximum 38 degree Celsius temperature in the next 24 hours. In the last 24 hours, the city's temperature soared to 37 degree Celsius with 66 percent humidity in the air, the office said that weather had been hot and dry in most of the country's other parts.
It said that the country's most parts were expected to remain mainly hot and dry in the next 24 hours. However, rain-thundershower with gusty winds is expected at isolated places in Malakand, Hazara, Bannu, Kohat Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Lahore, Faisalabad, Sahiwal, Multan, D.G Khan, Zho and Kalat division, upper Fata, Islamabad, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan in the next 24 hours. Windstorm is likely in isolated places in Multan, Faisalabad, Sargodha and Sahiwal divisions during the period.
Nokkundi emerged the hottest place in the country with 47 degree Celsius in the last 24 hours, followed byh Turbat, Dalbandin and Sibbi 45 degree Celsius each, Rahimyar Khan, Shaheed and Benazirabad 44 degree Celsius each and Noorpurthal, Rohri, Dadu, Sukkur, Larkana, Moenjodar and Bhakkar 43 degree Celsius each. In the last 24 hours, Joharabad recoeved 21mm rain followed by Bannu 8mm, Noorpur Thal 7mm, Barkhan 2mm and Hunz and Dir 1mm each.
