An anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Karachi on Saturday gave the custody of three directors of Fishermen Co-operative Housing Society to Rangers for 90 days. Directors Muhammad Khan Chachar, Kamran Abbasi and Rana Muhammad Shahid were arrested by Rangers earlier this week on charges of corruption, smuggling and facilitating terrorists.
Earlier, Rangers personnel raided the residence of Vice-President of Fishermen Co-operative Housing Society Sultan Qamar Siddiqui on Thursday. Following the raid at Siddiqui's house located in Karachi area of Gulistan-e-Jauhar, he was interrogated in connection with alleged corruption. Paratroopers also confiscated important documents of Fishermen Co-operative Society from his residence. Sindh Rangers on Thursday briefed an anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Karachi that Vice President Fishermen's Co-operative Society Sultan Qamar Siddiqui allegedly used to give 70 percent share of the corruption money to Bilawal House.
