The Business community of South Punjab has hailed the government's decision to exempt the industrial sector from power load-shedding and uninterrupted power supply to the industry in order to meet the export orders. President of Multan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) Mian Iqbal Hassan said that it is a good step of the government headed by Mian Nawaz Sharif that Industry was exempted of load-shedding and uninterrupted power supply was ensured.
He said that this step would help in meeting the demand of the foreign buyers and increase the exports. He said that it is a good news that "Zero power outage is being observed to the industrial sector of the country for the last three weeks." Mian Iqbal Hassan said that six to eight hour power load-shedding was being carried out in the urban and rural areas of the country which must be reduced. He further said that the government should expedite the work on various power projects having accumulative capacity of 10,500 MW with the assistance of China.
