The Punjab government has decided launching 15-day special campaign on measles from January 26 to February 9, and directed all the district administrations for monitoring and submission of measles reports on daily basis. MPA Ehsanuddin Qureshi has stated that measles campaign launching ceremony held here at Multan Raza Hall on Thursday.
Additional District Collector Manzar Javed Ali said the Punjab government would spend Rs 2000 on each child to combat measles. The vaccination has been provided at doorsteps and all parents must take the benefit of campaign. EDO Health Dr Iftikhar Qureshi said all children between age group of 9-15 month are recommended for measles injections to prevent the disease.
