Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Tuesday accorded approval to 'Apna Rozgar Scheme' under which vehicles will be provided to unemployed youth on soft-term loans basis. During a high-level meeting here on Tuesday, Shahbaz said that as before 10 percent more quota has been allocated for South Punjab under this scheme.
He said that a respectable job opportunity would be provided to the unemployed youth under 'Apna Rozgar Scheme.' He said that merit and transparency would be ensured at any cost in this scheme which is being started from the current month. Shahbaz said that youth are a precious asset of the country and they are being empowered through providing them respectable job opportunity. He also inspected the vehicles to be given to the unemployed youth on easy terms.
Moreover, Shahbaz during a meeting with MPAs said that those who are wasting precious time of the nation through sit-ins and politics of protest should give up their negative attitude. He said that Pakistan is passing through a critical phase and facing shortage of electricity and the menace of extremism and in such circumstances, the politics of dividing the nation is not in the interest of the country. He said that untimely sit-ins and negative politics have increased the problems of the masses.
Shahbaz said that only those nations have achieved progress and prosperity as have displayed unity and struggled hard for the achievement of their goal. He said that Pakistan Muslim League-N government is making all-out efforts for the welfare of the people and resolving problems of the country. The Chief Minister stressed upon MPAs to keep a close contact with the people and spare no effort for resolving their problems.
Those who met the Chief Minister included Provincial Minister for Co-operatives Iqbal Channar, Assembly members Chaudhry Faisal Farooq Cheema, Syed Hussain Jehanian Gardezi, Sardar Bahadur Khan Mekan, Pir Khizar Hyat Shah Khagga, Ehsan-ul-Haq Bajwa and Chaudhry Muhammad Akram.
