Fruit merchants union polls on October 19

Annual elections of wholesale fruit merchants and commission agents for 2014-16 will be held on 19th October for which the election committee comprising Haji Ghulam Hussain Arain, Hafiz Muhammad Shakeel and Rais Bari has been constituted. The merchants connected with the fruit market have announced that the only representative union of fruit merchants was the Wholesale Fruit Merchants and Commission Agents Union of Hyderabad and the elections of which will be held on 19th October.
They said few vested interests have formed a so-called union with the name of Wholesale Fruit and Vegetable Merchants and Commission Agents Union which the merchants have rejected and distanced themselves from the so-called union. They reminded the administrator of market committee and president of HCCI that this so-called union has no connection whatsoever with the fruit market as such they should not be consulted on market matters. They also said they would seek legal remedy against that union.
