Institution of Engineers Pakistan has awarded National Excellence Award 2014 to Punjab University Institute of Chemical Engineering and Technology's Professor Dr Zia Chaudhary. Dr Zia received award from Federal Minister Ahsan Iqbal in a ceremony organised in connection with Engineering Day celebrations. Dr Chaudhry is the only person in chemical engineering discipline from all over the country who received this award based on the national interest research work done and new products developed.
