The textile industry has long been a cornerstone of Pakistan's economy, contributing significantly to employment, exports, and industrial output. However, in recent years, the sector has faced a noticeable decline, posing challenges to the overall economic landscape of the country. Energy Crisis: Pakistan has grappled with chronic energy shortages, affecting the textile industry's production capacity. Frequent power outages and high energy costs have led to reduced operational efficiency and increased production expenses. While the decline of the textile industry in Pakistan is a multifaceted challenge, addressing these issues through strategic planning, investments, and collaborative efforts can pave the way for its recovery and resurgence on the global stage. The industry's success is intertwined with the overall economic prosperity of the country, making its revitalization a priority for sustainable development.

The bad news is that the textile exports are down even compared to 2022 which was one of the worst years overall for Pakistan. Even with one of the worst base years for comparison we are still not doing well in statistics.
