NAIROBI: Kenya’s shilling was stable on Tuesday and traders said it was expected to lose ground due to increased demand for dollars from oil importing companies, a dearth of inflows and a stronger US currency on global markets.

At 0700 GMT, commercial banks quoted the shilling at 117.10/30 per dollar, the same as Monday’s closing rate.
