MOSCOW: Russia’s grain harvesting campaign has sped up in recent weeks with yields down year on year due to earlier dry weather, data by the agriculture ministry of the world’s largest wheat exporter showed on Monday.
The ministry resumed its daily publication of the grain harvesting data on Monday, after a pause since Aug. 11 as the ministry refined the reporting format used by the country’s growing regions.
Russia had harvested 62.2 million tonnes of wheat before drying and cleaning with an average yield of 3.13 tonnes per hectare as of Aug. 23, the data showed.
