Canadian canola futures jump

WINNIPEG: ICE Canadian canola futures jumped as much as 4.6% on Monday, lifted by a bounce-back rally with soy futures after last week’s sell off.

“It’s a video game of money,” a broker said, noting that the canola market’s relatively thin liquidity may have helped buyers exaggerate its gains.

Oilseed markets have otherwise factored in tighter stockpiles and concerns about South America’s soyabean crop, the broker said.
