India's UP CM criticizes Congress leadership for not taking stiff stand against Pakistan

(Karachi) India's Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has criticized the Congress leadership of not taking a stiff stand against Pakistan, blaming it for cross-border tensions and terrorism in the country, ANI reported.

Speaking in Patna on Wednesday, Adityanath said: "Pakistan used to carry out terrorist activities in India, & Congress leadership used to say, we won't do anything to Pakistan lest they use atom bomb against us."

He also mocked Prime Minister Imran Khan, saying: "Now Pak PM is running around world, wary if Indian jawans will carry out another surgical strike there."

The UP CM said that there can be no greater misfortune in Indian politics than RJD-Congress's support to those who are raising slogans in premier institutes of India, with intention of breaking the country into pieces. "They intend to spread terrorism, naxalism, extremism and separatism again," he was quoted as saying.

Yogi Adityanath, who is considered a staunch Hindu follower, has spoken against Pakistan on several occasions in the past. In one of his speeches in Bihar a day back, he levelled baseless accusations against the Pakistani government, saying "Terrorists" from across the border cannot attack Indian jawans, for if they do so, Indian soldiers will enter Pakistan to flush them out."

Regarding revoking Kashmir of its special status last year, he said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has fulfilled its promise but the UP CM did not highlight the grave human rights violations the Modi-led government is committing in the region.

The international community also condemned the atrocities in Jammu and Kashmir by Indian troops and its ceasefire violations at the Line of Control. However, India is looking for some misadventure at the cost of region's peace and stability.

A few days ago, Prime Minister's Advisor on National Security and Strategic Policy Planning Moeed Yusuf said there is evidence that India is funding terrorist activities in Pakistan. He added that the handler of the 2014 terrorist attack on Army Public School in Peshawar was in touch with an Indian consulate.

In an interview to Indian media he said that India is inflicting terror in Pakistan. "We have the phone number of the handler’s contact and the evidence of India's involvement in terrorist activities on Pakistan's soil," he said.

He highlighted that in 2019, the Indian Embassy in Kabul had given $1 million to Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan to help it merge with four other militant groups.

He also pointed out that the Indian Embassy in Afghanistan is using think-tanks as a means to fund local parties in Balochistan to spread terrorism in the country. The advisor mentioned that the Balochistan National Army commander had been treated in a hospital in Delhi.

He said Pakistan has concrete evidence of India's involvement in attacks on stock exchange, Chinese Consulate and other terrorist activities.
