KARACHI Unidentified armed motorcyclists shot dead a 26-year-old police constable Noman, in the jurisdiction of Baloch Colony police station, police said.
His funeral prayer was offered at SSU Headquarters Hassan Square. IG Sindh Mushtaq Ahmed Mehr, Additional IG Karachi Ghulam Nabi Memon besides DIG Operation, DIG East, SSP South, SSP SSU Operation, SSP 15, SP Gulshan, SP Malir, senior Rangers officers, heirs of the martyr and residents of the area participated the funeral in large number.
The deceased was presently deployed at 15 South Base. He was shot dead by unknown men on his way back home from duty within the limits of Baloch Colony police station.
Expressing condolences and sympathy to the family of the martyred constable, IG Sindh paid homage to the services of the martyr for the police department.
On this occasion, he announced the usual benefits to be given to the heirs of Noman by the Sindh Police Department and directed the concerned police officers to complete all the necessary legal documentary matters in this regard as soon as possible.
