ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan People's Party (PPP) has demanded the resignation of Aviation Minister Ghulam Sarwar for disrupting Pakistan and rendering immense loss to the nation.

This demand was made in a joint press conference on Wednesday by Secretary Information PPPP Dr Nafisa Shah, Senator Rubina Khalid, Palwasha Khan, and Naz Baloch MNA. Nazir Dhoki was also present at the press conference.

They demanded the resignation of Aviation Minister Ghulam Sarwar and initiation of a case against him for being a "traitor" who rendered such a huge loss to the PIA. They accused "Prime Minister Imran Khan's cronies of hatching a conspiracy" to sell national assets and buy themselves those assets at the price of peanuts.

They alleged that Imran Khan was a "compulsive liar" and "a hypocrite" who called Osama Bin Laden a "shaheed" but refused to call Benazir Bhutto, a "shaheed".

They said that the talk of "minus one" was being circulated by Imran Khan's own cabinet members. They said that the speaker of the National Assembly had become "controversial" because he acted like a worker of the PTI.

The PPP leaders said that the PIA was banned from Europe just because of a "dim minister" whose own degree was "fake".

They said Imran Khan and his ministers had "destroyed economy because of their non-serious attitude".

They said that Imran Khan had no control over his cabinet. Soon this "selected" government and its "hypocrite" prime minister will go packing, they forecast.

They claimed that Uzair Baloch supported the PTI in sit-ins and elections because Zulfiqar Mirza, used to call him "his child", who is in PTI today.

The government is trying to sell Roosevelt Hotel and the PIA for pennies. Those who spent on PTI sit-ins, elections and flag hoisting, are now demanding their money back from them with interest, they said.

Dr Nafisa Shah said that on June 24, the minister of aviation stated on the floor of the assembly that out of 860 pilots of Pakistan, the licenses and degrees of 262 pilots were questionable. She said that that statement of the minister had inflicted irreparable damage on the PIA, and Pakistani pilots were being fired from all over the world and Pakistani airlines had been barred from returning to their countries.

She said that never before in the history of Pakistan had there been such a loss. She said that it had not been done by any enemy but by a federal minister. Who will repair it? she asked.

She said that those who harm the country were prosecuted for "treason", so the aviation minister should not only resign but he should also be prosecuted for treason.

The PPP leader said that Prime Minister Imran Khan's "ATM machines" had planned to destroy the country's institutions, and to become their own buyers. She said the prime minister defended the report of the plane crash in the National Assembly. She said that the prime minister came to the assembly when the opposition was not present.

Palwasha Khan said that Imran Khan is "a sugar thief, flour thief and mastermind of all the mafia".

Now there is no justification for him to sit in the PM House, she said. She said that the country's economy had collapsed, and the prime minister was "making fun" of the assembly.

Senator Rubina Khalid said that Imran Khan was responsible for the current situation in the country, and those who planted flags on PTI vehicles and spent in elections were taking back their investments today with interest. She claimed Imran Khan had no control over his ministers.
