Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah ordered on Wednesday the immediate cleaning of all major drains in Karachi in view of possible rains.
Presiding over a preparatory meeting for forthcoming monsoon season, the CM said due to the climate change, heavy rains are likely to occur.
He directed that the District Municipal Corporation (DMC) and Karachi Metropolitan Corporation should clean the drains of the concerned areas in Karachi.
The CM further said Sindh government will provide funds for the cleaning. He also directed the Water Board to fix the underground system for drainage.
