IRS's Customs, Income Tax groups' officers: FBR constitutes committee to resolve seniority issue
The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has constituted a committee to resolve the issue of seniority between Customs and Income Tax Group officers, who have opted to join Inland Revenue (IR) Service. In this connection, the FBR has issued a notification here on Thursday.
According to the notification, Secretary, Revenue Division/Chairman, FBR has constituted a committee. Tahir Raza Naqvi, Member (Admn) would be the convenor of the committee whereas Khawar Khurshid Butt Member (IRS) and Mumtaz Haider Rizvi FBR Member (Customs) would be other representatives.
The committee shall look into the issue of seniority between Customs & Income Tax group officers who have opted to join IRS and the inter-service seniority between officers of the same batches. The committee would also resolve issues raised in the Federal Services Tribunal (FST). The Committee shall co-opt a representative from Establishment Division.
The Committee shall grant an opportunity of hearing to any officer or representatives from duly constituted service organisations who could be instrumental in enhancing the understanding on the issue with a view to have multifaceted perspective. The Committee shall furnish its report to the Chairman, FBR within three weeks of the date of this notification.
