Football export increases by 8.53pc during 1st quarter

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan earned US$37.808 million from the export of footballs during the first quarter of the current fiscal year, showing an increase of 8.53 percent as compared the same period of last year.

According to the data of Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, during last fiscal year, the country earned $34.837 million by exporting footballs.

In terms of quantity, the footballs export increased by 19.91 percent during July-September (2017-18) as compared to the export of July-September (2016-17).

As many as 771,000 dozens of footballs were exported from the country during first quarter of the current year as compared to the export of 643,000 dozens during the same period in last year.

Meanwhile, on year-on-year basis, footballs export from the country increased by 18.74 percent during September 2017 as compared to the corresponding period of last year.

Footballs export during September 2017 were recorded at $12.296 million as compared to the export of $7.830 million in September 2016.

On month-on-month basis, footballs export from the country however, witnessed decreased 14.53 percent during September 2017 while comparing to the export of $14.386 million during August 2016, the data revealed.
