USC to ensure transparency in all its departments

ISLAMABAD: The Utility Stores Corporation (USC) is ensuring transparency in the corporation to provide quality and cheaper products to common people.

"Currently over 5000 outlets are working across the country including far flung areas of Balochistan, and Gilgit Baltistan to provide all items of daily use on economical rates," Spokesman of USC Senior General Manager PR Wajid Swati told APP here Monday.

He said the USC has also established a quality control department to check the quality of daily use items being sold at its outlets across the country.

He said that all utility stores products are certified by ISO and Pakistan Standard Quality Control Authority.

To a question, Wajid Swati said currently no subsidy was being provided by the government; however rates of Utility Stores are always kept lower than the local market.
