ISLAMABAD: Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Thursday said those seeking resignation of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif did not want development and prosperity in the country.
People of the country had elected the prime minister with heavy mandate and he would not give resignation, he said talking to a private news channel.
The minister said Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) had demanded resignation of the prime minister during sit-ins at D-Chowk without any logic, adding the conspirators should tell to nation why they were demanding resignation from PM.
He said the conspirators were hatching conspiracy to weaken the democratic system.
Shahid Khaqan said the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) had only submitted its report in the Supreme Court and the court would now give decision on Panama Papers case.
