ISLAMABAD: Minister for Finance, Muhammad Ishaq Dar on Friday announced that the government would introduce solar- powered off-grid electricity system for residents of small towns and cities.
The system, to be implemented in partnership with World Bank with special focus on Balochistan would facilitate provision of electricity to remote areas and small cities where there are no transmission lines, he said this in a budget speech for year 2017-18 delivered in National Assembly here.
