GILGIT: A group of investors of Switzerland called on Chief Minister Gilgit Baltistan Hafiz Hafeezur Rehman here on Thursday and showed keen interest in investment in power sector in the province.
The Chief Minister appraised the delegation about his government key reforms taken for promotion of investment in the province.
The Chief Minister said his government has taken solid measures for establishment of regional grid to help promote investment in energy sector as GB has vast potential in this regard.
He said foreign investors would be encouraged to make investment in power sector.
He said Board of Investment has been setup at GB to facilitate and provide protection to investors. Feasibility studies are being conducted for generation of electricity from air and solar system, being the top priority of his government, he explained.
The Chief Minister asked investors to take full advantage of the facilities offered by the government.
