Secretary General, Pakistan People's Party, Sindh Nafis Siddiqui said PPP will support ongoing peaceful just struggle of lawyers and journalists for rule of law, independent judiciary, press freedom and establishing a civil society in the country.
While condemning arrest of General Secretary Karachi Bar Association Naeem Qureshi near Sindh High Court premises on Monday, Nafis Siddiqui said government was provoking lawyers and journalists. The lawyers and journalists were attacked and injured by police while they were protesting peacefully outside office of Election Commission on Saturday in Islamabad, he added.
