US Treasury Secretary John Snow said on Friday that Beijing needed to make more progress toward currency flexibility, and China's growing global role brought with it greater responsibility.
In remarks prepared for a conference at Stanford University, Snow issued a warning on rising protectionist pressures and said efforts to cut global trade imbalances needed to be a shared effort.
