An open auction of attractive registration numbers of 'LZV' series will be held here at the district office of Excise & Taxation Department on Wednesday (August 3). According to Rao Shakeel-ur-Rehman, Motor Registering Authority, Lahore, the reserved price for LZV-1 will be Rs 10,000/-, for LZV-7 and LZM-786 Rs 7,500/- each, while it will be Rs 5,000/- each for remaining 133 attractive numbers of the series.
He stated that elaborate publicity arrangements have been made to ensure maximum participation of people in the auction. He added that under the policy guidelines issued by the Secretary Excise & Taxation, sealed bids are also invited for sale of three-digit numbers of any series of registration marks in Lahore. The reserved price fixed for participation in sealed bid is Rs 1,000. The sealed bids will be opened on Thursday (August 4).
He further said that the provincial government is fetching substantial revenue through open auction of attractive registration marks of vehicles in the province.
