The Karachi Port handled 106,922 tonnes of cargo including 65,626 tonnes import and 41,296 tonnes export cargo during last 48 hours ending at 0700 hours on Monday. The cargo comprised of 44,499 tonnes dry cargo including 33,080 tonnes general cargo; 5,095 tonnes rice; 510 tonnes scrap; 5,000 rock phosphate; 4 tonnes fertiliser and 62,423 tonnes oil/Liquid cargo.
Eleven ships namely Iran Shahryar, Beluga Energy, Maersk Alaska, Capetan Michalis, Wan Hai-262, Sagamore, Annemieke, Argonaut, Santa Fe, Corinthiakos and Flanders Harmony sailed out to sea during the report period.
Nine vessels viz Annemieke, Argonaut, Darya Yog, Dan Yang, Nur Yanbu, Lalazar, Steven C, Citius and Bao Heng Men are currently at the berths.
Two ships namely Bao Heng Men and Darya Yog expected to sail on Monday, while two vessels viz Lalazar and Nefeli-1 are expected to sail on Tuesday.
Three vessels viz Hanjin Busan, Manila Bay and Apl Dalian due to arrive on Monday, while five ships namely Fu He, Eax Sanctity, Kota Teguh, Rickmers Mumbai and San Antonio are due to arrive on Tuesday.
The cargo comprised of 46,117 tonnes diesel oil; 3,060 tonnes coal and 10,472 tonnes containerised cargo.
Two ships namely CV Bermudian Express and MT Kudam sailed out to sea during last 24 hours, while two vessels viz MSC Delia and MT Fotini Lady are expected to sail on Monday.
A total of three vessels viz MSC Briana, Marine Pioneer and Sinar Sabang are currently at the outer anchorage.
