Police investigating the July 21 attempted suicide bombings in London have arrested a third man under Britain's anti-terrorism laws, police said on Sunday. The man was arrested late Saturday in south London, close to the neighbourhood of Stockwell where two other suspects were arrested on Friday, they said.
A police spokeswoman said the man, who was not identified, was arrested "on suspicion of the commission or instigation or preparation of acts of terrorism". "He has now been taken to a central London police station for questioning," she said.
Police have released no details about how the suspect was believed to be connected to Thursday's bomb attacks in London, when four men tried but failed to blow up three Underground trains and a bus.
Earlier on Sunday, London police chief Ian Blair said investigators were still seeking four men photographed by security cameras at the scenes of Thursday's attacks, and believed they were still in Britain.
