Two kidnappers were killed in an encounter with the police on Khurrianwala Industrial Zone, here on Friday night while two fled away in darkness. Police also recovered two employees of Sitara Energy, who were kidnapped for ransom.
According to reports, four criminals kidnapped Mohammad Shahbaz Akhtar shift in charge/foreman and Allah Ditta, driver, when they were going to Sitara Mills in a Land Cruiser.
On information, Khurrianwala police chased the criminals. On seeing the police, they took refuge in fields near MSC Textiles Mills and opened fire. The police returned the fire as a result of which two of the outlaws died on the spot. Their two accomplices, however, managed to escape leaving behind both employees of the Sitara Energy.
The DIG Faisalabad appreciated the policemen's efforts. Police have registered a case and investigation is in progress.
