Police on Sunday denied the reports of kidnapping of the son of MMA chief and Ameer Jamat-e-Islami Qazi Hussain Ahmed. TPO Jamshed Town, Tahir Jamshed told APP that alleged kidnapped person named Abdur Rashid has no connection with Qazi Hussain Ahmed as claimed by a section of the media. It may be noted that many electronic TV channels telecast a report of kidnapping of son of Qazi Husain Ahmed on Sunday.
The TPO said Qazi Saheb has no son by the name of Abdul Rasheed. Moreover, no family member of the JI chief has contacted the police and no FIR had been registered at any police station.
He said Police has learnt that son of the JI Ameer was not in Karachi. The family of Qazi Husain Ahmed was in Quetta.
Tahir said police was investigating who has spread this news in the media.
