The Karachi Shipyard and Engineering Works (KS&EW) has handed over two tugs to Port Qasim Authority. A press release issued here on Thursday said the KS&EW delivered two tugs, Sachal and Deebal to the PQA. The PQA placed order for construction of two tugs on December 24, 2003 and January 9, 2004. Both the tugs have 40 bollard pull capacity with a speed up to 12 knots.
The overall length is 32 metres. They are twin-screw conventional Kort Nozzel tugs equipped for towing, pushing and supporting port-related operations.-PR
