National Refinery Limited and Pakistan Refinery Limited have jointly issued a tender to sell 100,000-150,000 tonnes of open-specification naphtha to be loaded from Karachi between July and September, traders said on Tuesday. The tender will close on June 7 and bids should be valid for seven working days after the closure.
In their last joint tender issued in June 2004, the refineries had sold 200,000-250,0000 tonnes of naphtha cargoes, all in 25,000 tonnes lots of naphtha to Shell for July-December 2004 loading at a discount of about 78 cents per barrel to Singapore spot quotes.
Most of Pakistan's naphtha is sent to end-users in Japan.
