The leaders of all the provinces and AJK Prime Minister on Friday showed satisfaction over the National Economic Council (NEC) programme 2005-06. Sindh Chief Minister, Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim while talking to PTV said, Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz has approved all the development projects of Sindh province, including Super Highway, National Highway, Coastal Highway and Mirpurkhas-Khokhrapar Road. Punjab Chief Minister, Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi said Pakistan for the first time in its history has achieved 8.3 percent GDP growth rate.
He said all the sectors including agriculture, manufacturing and services have shown higher growth. NWFP Chief Minister, Akram Khan Durrani said all the important schemes of the NWFP have been included in the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP).
He said Prime Minister has assured to include an important scheme of Chashma First Left Canal. NWFP Governor, Khalilur Rahman said the meeting has covered everything, adding: "all of us have been given opportunity to express our opinions", he added.
Senior Balochistan Minister, Maulana Abdul Wasih said the federal government has set various big projects and allocated major funds for the Balochistan province in the incoming budget.
AJK Prime Minister, Sardar Sikandar Hayat Khan has said that the meeting was more successful than our aspirations.
