Under the power supply system improvement, the Karachi Electric Supply Corporation (KESC) is rehabilitating 132 KV Direct Circuit Baldia-SITE Gas Turbine EHT line on Sunday. According to KESC spokesman on Saturday, low-tension circuits will remain under shut-down for construction of new 132 KV transmission line. Area consumers may face temporary interruption from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, until Tuesday, May 10, 2005. Areas that may face power interruption are: Block-C Khadda Wala PMT, Zaman Khan PMT towards Madina Masjid, Abidabad Block C & D and Adjoining areas of Bilal Masjid, Premier Batteries PMT Sub Station, Zubaida Industries, Nazuk Textiles and SA Textiles.
KESC is also carrying out system improvement work in the city. On Monday, May 9 from 09.00 am to 5.00 pm areas to remain under shut-down are:
