Malik Mohammad Javed, an employee of the Pakistan's embassy in Iraq who was kidnapped in Baghdad and later released has thanked the nation for prayers securing his release. Speaking at a PTV programme he thanked Allah Almighty and Pakistan government for his safe release. It was a delicate problem and handled with great wisdom, he said adding a small mistake could lead the issue towards a negative direction. To a question about the identity of the kidnappers Malik Javed said that he was kept in a locked room and did not know anything about his abductors.
He also thanked President General Pervez Musharraf, Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz, Foreign Minister Khurshid Kasuri, Minister of State Khusru Bakhtiar, members of the cabinet to effort for his safe release and members of National Assembly who passed a resolution in this regard.
